House Show #123: Howe’s Park in Annawan, Illinois – July 5th, 2012 <>The show kicked off with the announcement that due to unforeseen circumstances, the Midwest Express were unable to make it for the evening, so the opening match would need to be reshuffled. Ricky Stevens came out to team with the Farmers, due to his history with Juan Macho. The crowd then exploded into cheers as Zijum Zhao came out from the back, offering to team with Stevens and the Farmers.
1. Zijum Zhao, Ricky Stevens Jr., & Fightin’ Farmers b. Juan Macho, Joe Curtis, & 42nd Street Drifters in 18:45 when Harry pinned Curtis with the “Pig Slop Stunner.”

They said they were happy to be in the Quad-Cities and looking forward to matching up with the teams they saw there.
2. British Invasion b. Haruo Tezuka in 11:12 with the “London Lock.”
3. Ricky Stevens Jr., DJ Kincaid, & KC Costello b. Madison Avenue Enterprises (Madison/Rondo/ Macho) in 13:02 when Kincaid pinned Macho with the “Chemo Therapy.”

<>Visionaryian came very close to winning the TV Title but Sweeney’s “Security Detail” Mitch Stylin made himself known in the match, taking an over the top rope dive that was intended for the champ. This allowed Sweeney to roll back in the ring and hit the Manhattan Drop for the win.
6. Freeweight Title Match: Doug McGraw (champ) b. Mystery Mask 2-1 in 20:42. First Fall: McGraw pinned Mask in 10:46 with a head pickup lariat. Second Fall: Mask pinned McGraw in 4:19 with a small package. Third Fall: McGraw pinned Mask in 5:37 with the Western Lariat.
<>Mystery Mask presented the title to McGraw afterward and raised his hand in a sign of respect before leaving the ring. McGraw held the title high as the show went off the air.

“QC Rush” TV Show #45: QCCW TV Studio in Galesburg, Illinois – September 16th, 2012 [/color]<>Marc Carlson came out at the top of the show and said his original opponent Shane Clayton wasn’t able to make it to the show tonight. He said he had been a dominant TV Champion, a man who was destined to be the Freeweight Champion, but now he was going to be left off the show. He demanded an opponent of “Championship Calibre” to be his opponent tonight. Takeshi Akino then walked to the stage and said only “I’ll fight” before walking back to the dressing room.
1. Xionen pinned Buddy Ewing in 13:27 with a Mongolian Chop.
<>Xionen seemed to impress the crowd, although his cheating tactics of using green mist on Ewing to get the opening for his chop nearly got him caught by the referee.
2. No DQ Match: Taka Iishii pinned Derek Younger in 10:44 with the “Brain Damage.”
3. Chris Hein b. Mystery Mask in 9:01 by count out.
<>Hein had worked over Mask’s leg during the match and slammed him knee first into the entrance ramp, which kept Mask from being able to make it back into the ring.

<>Both men were given a great reaction from the crowd, and Akino even offered to shake Carlson’s hand. Carlson hesitated, but then left the ring without doing so, although he did nod at Akino from the entrance way as he left.

The show came to a scary halt as Mask regained consciousness and left with help of both Tanner and Madison Avenue Man. After a short intermission, the show resumed and Mystery Mask was taken to a nearby hospital.

<>After the match, Brady came close to having the match result reversed on him as he refused to release the hold. When he did, he shouted that he said he’d prove Horne was a fluke.

<>After the main event and the last commercial break of the night, Mystery Mask came out to the ring with QCCW President Matt Wintz. Mask said that at a house show during the week, he had been knocked out by Madison Avenue Man’s brainbuster, and that doctors had run tests saying it seemed to have not only given him a concussion, but caused swelling in his spinal chord. Mask said he didn’t blame Madison at all, and said that after years of performing for “the best fans in the world, right here in the Quad-Cities” he was going to be forced to retire. He thanked the fans, and his close friend Terry Tanner for everything. He was given a standing ovation by the fans and by every wrestler in the locker room, both faces and heels. His longtime rival Ian Samuels came out to shake hands first, and the show played out to “Magical Mystery Tour” as Mask shook hands with fans around the ringside area.
