The PWA first ever Super Show event titled the Quest for the Best has been pushed back from the scheduled May 8th date due to scheduling conflicts at the Roseland Ballroom. In the mean time the PWA will be holding local shows in and around the Norwalk area in CT. Be on the look out for results from these shows.

Just to make sure I understand it correctly, it's just 90 parameter points, right? Not including skill points and all that?

I was going more for 90 points total overall. Since I wanted this to be kind of like the ECWA Super 8 tournament where the winner will get a nice push. But if you have a guy who your looking to give a push and there at like 100 or 110 that is fine as well. As long as the guy is not a monster who will squash the competition.
Think of this tournament as a MITB type thing. The winner doesn't get any auto title shots but adding 10 points however you see fit whether it be in Offense, Defense, or Skills can help get the worker to the next level.
So far the entrants for the Mayor's Cup tourney are as follows Cory Maxwell - From the QCCW Clown Killer - From the CCW PWA will look to add 3 or 4 guys to the mix. Depending on how many more spots are requested from each promoter.
Feel free to nominate as many guys who fit this criteria as you want. Its an 8 man tourney so if I have to pick from 10-20 guys I will either no it by some random way or just toss them all in a hat and do it the way Ron Simmons won his first (only?) World Title back in the old WCW days.
I want to maybe get a couple of more guys from other IWW promotions as well to give it that big card feel since it will be our first.

In the inactive feds you need to contact there owner to sign them, but if they had a working agreement before they went inactive you can use them.
I doubt any of them would mind, heres a list of who they are.
Carlzilla (MPW) (I know for a fact he doesn't care) htiman4ever (NWCW) Makar (Mascara) Budnc (SFW)
get there permission and you can sign or use anyone.

Cool. I am going to scout some talent tonight to probably add full/part time to the PWA roster. So far so good with my promotion. It has taken a while but the edits are coming along nicely. I still have not figured out who the 8 spots for the Mayor's Cup tourney will go to but I have got a few matches planned at the moment.
I am working on getting a gamebridge so that I will be able to either stream the card live or at least record it and post it up some where for all to watch. So anyways here is a few matches that have been announced as official.
UPDATE PWA presents: The Quest for the Best Highlighted by the 8 man NYC Mayor's Cup Tournament NEW RULES FOR THE TOURNAMENT HAVE BEEN DECIDED ON BY THE PWA EXECUTIVE BOARD....THE TOURNAMENT WILL NOW ALLOW ANY WORKERS FROM THE IWW TO PARTICIPATE WHO DO NOT REACH OVER THE TOTAL POINTS OF 140. AFTER SEEING MOST OF THE TALENT AND THE NEED SOME WORKERS MAY USE THIS TOURNAMENT AS A PUSH THIS CHANGE WAS SEEN AS THE BEST WAY TO INCLUDE A GREATER TALENT POOL FOR THE FANS.
I figured this would be better and you guys could submit a bunch of workers (like 2 or 3) from your feds and I can just decide through the luck of the draw who gets the chance to compete. Plus after testing out alot of different edit match ups last night I saw that my 107 point edit of Damon Jones could beat my 134 point edit of Lance Ulrich and it wasn't just a squash fest.
Let's just say you give me the names of guys you also wouldn't mind working a program of matches in my fed to go along with there push if they wind up winning the tournament. Let me know what you guys think. Sorry to keep changing this stuff but I keep learning more and more as I go along and just feel this is better since it opens up the qualification process to more workers.
Singles match - "Canadian Hero" Chris Hamerlik vs Phoenix Star Singles match - King Edward the Great vs Froggy Singles match - Mountain Dewd vs Bruce Chan Tag Team match - Pumping Iron vs Mike Stabler/El Nino Dela Calle
More matches to come as the PWA brass begin to scout talent from around the IWW world.

Yeah, I wanted to open up QCCW to you for booking. You can pretty much use anyone from QCCW with no hitch for future cards. For the Mayor Cup though I think Maxwell is still the only one I'll throw in since this would be perfect for his character.

Cool, like I said sorry to keep changing this thing like every other week. I guess without a fully functional promtion to keep me busy I just keep tweaking things. I really like how Level does his videos with the intros and all. Like I said I hope to have all my stuff ready to go very soon.
Thanks for the permission. I already got Makar's OK to use Mascara talent as well. And I will give Maxwell a solid spot in the tourney since he is the only rep from QCCW. Thanks guys.

OK, so I now have a working laptop and a gamebridge in hand I will be able to bring you full results of the PWA's Quest for the Best Super Show being held in NYC at the Roseland Ballroom. We have some great matches planned and will be crowning the first ever PWA Mayor's Cup Champion. The card rundown and some blurbs about each one is as follows
Tamuo Malo vs Froggy Francis Drake has been pulled from this match due to personal family issues. We wish him the best and hope he returns soon. Replacing him in this match will be the Frog man from the bayou Froggy.
Pumping Iron vs Mamula & Fatuga The two large Austrian muscle heads have been asking for a larger challenge, literally. So Taylor Dane went out and signed these two large freelancers from the Islands of Samoa to give them a real fight.
Special Showcase match from Accion De Gran Altura Galaxy Man vs "Teen Idol" Rey Reyes A Lucha Libre style promotion based out in Baja, California has a working agreement with the PWA as well as the NAWA and will be sending two of its best high flyers to put on a show in the air for the PWA faithful.
El Nino Dela Calle vs El Tigre These two journeyman and legends of the Mexican rings met for the 1st time at the last PWA card in a triple threat match. This time El Nino tries to settle the score it what should be a classic match up of incredible luchadors.
Louis Swanney vs "CAN Hero" Chris Hamerlik The war of words between these two at the last PWA card escalated to small ruckus. This time around they will meet in the ring and knowing how heated they were last time this could turn into a very rough and tumble match. Swanney is out to prove he is the benchmark while Hamerlik is here to show him who really is the top dog in the PWA.
PWA Mayor's Cup Tournament - 8 men from throughout the IWW Alliance have come to compete for the claim of being the best new and up and coming talent in the PWA. The prestige that will come with this cup will depend on the winner themself. But whoever wins whether they be a PWA talent or not can expect to be thrown right into the mix as one of the top stars rising to the top of the Pro Wrestling Alliance. The tournament will include the following participants and matches
Hippie Moses (RCW) vs "Dangerous" Danny McGee (PWA) Lance Ulrich (PWA) vs Clown Killer (CCW) Kamikazee Kidd (PWA) vs El Tigre Jr (Mascara) Kenzo Tanaka (AJCW) vs Corey Maxwell (QCCW)
Also our lovely commish and Head of Authority Taylor Dane will be along with a few major announcements. The show looks to be a top notch showcase by the PWA and with tickets sold out the atmosphere should be electric.
