AMBITION PRESENTS: ONE NIGHT IN WEST VIRGINIA
Fade In
AMBITION kicks off with an incredible pyro display, as the camera pans an entire section of screaming fans. One of which is holding up a sign that says “Pwnstar Pwns!”
Stanilus: We’re LIVE! From WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, West Virginia! As always I’m your play-by -play man Stan Stanilus, and I’m joined by my partner and co-host “The Voice of Reason” Stu Grant!
Grant: We’re excited as ever to bring you some outstanding AMBITION action in the Post Kodeine era...and boy does it feel like getting off of an addiction.
Stanilus: We hope you all enjoyed our recent pay-per-view, Alchemy and we are more than sure you will enjoy tonight’s broadcast, as we bring you a plethora of matches.
Grant: Including the start of the AMBITION Tag Team Tournament! Care to explain it for them Stan?
Stanilus: The 16 team tournament is broken up into two blocks, A and B. Block A is made up of 8 tag teams, each of these are current AMBITION teams. The winners of this block will face off against the winners of Block B.
Grant: Which is made up of 8 teams from around the world that have never competed in an AMBITION ring!
Stanilus: The winning team will face off against Los Piranias Terribles for the AMBITION Tag Team Championships at our next Pay Per View event…which will be called…
Grant: Cruel Intentions!
Stanilus: That’s right Stu, now let’s get right to the first match of the night, Jordan vs. Classico!
JORDAN vs. CLASSICOAfter the match, Jordan kicks Classico in the gut repeatedly. The referee tries to interfere but Jordan shoves him to the mat before rolling out of the ring. The crowd, shocked by Jordan’s actions starts to boo, Jordan replies by sticking up his middle fingers.
Grant: What the heck has gotten into Jordan?
Stanilus: I have no earthly clue.
Backstage, God’s Gift members Kevin Sanders, Adrian Starr, Mike Norris, Kevin Valentine and the New AMBITION Women’s Champion Persephone are all standing outside of AMBITION owner Brian Stout’s office when Wholenothalevel steps out. Level looks Sanders up and down before brushing past him.
Sanders looks at Starr in disgust.
Sanders: How much you want to bet he’s asking for a title shot?
Starr: That’s not a bet, that’s a guarantee.
Stout: Come-on in guys…and lady.
The group enters Stout’s office and closes the door behind them.
Back in the ring, Genichiro Eiji is standing front and center dressed in a black suit, white shirt and black tie, he’s joined by his translator and assistant Mr. Watanbe and his friend and associate, Daisuke Shimura. Both Eiji and Watanbe have microphones, Daisuke nods his head as Eiji begins to speak in Japanese and Watanbe translates.
Mr. Watanbe: Despite the loss at Alchemy, Eiji-san is proud of the match between he and Adrian Starr. He said Starr surprised him with how well prepared he was, even impressed him.
Eiji speaks again in Japanese.
Mr. Watanbe: Adrian Starr was the better man that night, and he deserved the victory.
Eiji pauses before continuing to speak.
Mr. Watanbe: That night in the ring, Eiji-san felt alive, more alive than he has felt in quite some time. But after the match, he felt tired, more tired than he has felt in his entire career. Eiji-San says he gave Starr everything he had and still came up short. But not because Starr is a better wrestler…but because he’s younger and faster than Eiji-san.
Eiji bows his head before making his last statement.
Mr. Watanbe: Because of that fact, Eiji-san is officially announcing his retirement.
Grant: What?!
Stanilus: Genichiro Eiji just retired?! Talk about unexpected.
Grant: I think he’s still got some good years left in him!
Stanilus: He’s 43 years old Stu, his best years are behind him. I guess the Master of Menboku feels it’s time to hang up his boots…
Backstage, God’s Gift is seen coming out of Stout’s locker room and they pass by Cypha who is in mid-conversation with Bullshit.
Cypha: Dem girls like dem riddim, it’s like boom bye bye….BUMBACLOT!
Bullshit: Bumbaclot? Is that like saying….THIS IS SOME BULLSHIT?!!!!!
God’s Gift keeps forward down the hallway and pass Amazon Kid and Pirania Jr, the AMBITION tag team champions, both belts are draped across Amazon Kid’s shoulders and he wears them proudly.
Sanders: AMBITION has gone to the dogs…
Valentine: Yeah, and the freaks too.
Starr: That’s fine, just like I beat that old man at Alchemy, I can beat Acid Rain, Hector Gotcha, and Pwnstar.
Sanders laughs.
Sanders: Give me a break, Pwnstar? Haha….I’m starting to think he’s unbeatable.
The action heads back to ringside for the first of two Tag Team Tournament matches scheduled for tonight.
Stanilus: Up next is the first match in Block A of the AMBITION Tag Team Tournament as Legendary Wings takes on Rage Against Age. Who do you think takes this one Stu?
Grant: Well Legendary Wings recently challenged for the Tag Team Championships at Alchemy, they are a good veteran tag team that probably would have secured the victory had it not been for Los Piranias Terribles being disqualified, and thus keeping the belts. I think they are hungry for a rematch, so I’m picking them.
Stanilus: You said veteran tag team, and I’m going to pick the true veteran tag team, even though they are new to AMBITION, Rage Against Age are old!...Erm….I mean seasoned vets that know their way around the ring.
Grant: I’m looking forward to seeing these two veteran tag teams in action.
Legendary Wings vs. Rage Against AgeAfter the match, Wholenothalevel walks out onto the entrance ramp and down to the ring without the sound of his theme music. The crowd responds with a mix of cheers and boos.
Stanilus: Here comes Level. I’m sure the fans don’t know what to make of him after he helped restore order by turning on Kodeine, but with Level, you’ve got to wonder what his next move is.
Grant: I know what his next move is. I’ve known the man for several years.
Level walks around the ring and takes in the cheers and the boos.
Level: Who would have thought…rolled up like blunt and smoked, eliminated first from the 3 way dance. My opportunity, my chance at being the AMBITION World Champion taken from me. But I did find joy in the fact that Perfectshawn had his chance, another opportunity to capture the title from Pwnstar, and he failed miserably yet again.
But since Perfectshawn is on a hiatus, I’m challenging Pwn----
Level is interrupted by the sound of “Remedy” by Cold, or as the fans know it Kodeine’s entrance theme.
Kodeine puffs on a cigarette as he slowly walks down the aisle taking in the boos from the crowd as he makes his way to the ring.
Stanilus: One of the most hated men in the business and his former friend stand face to face.
Grant: Two of the most hated men in the business. Level’s no good guy, you can’t trust him farther than you can throw him, and as big as he is that’s not very far.
Kodeine climbs into the ring as Level rolls his neck in a circle and flexes his muscles. Both men stand face to face and Kodeine sticks out his hand, asking for the microphone.
Level: Make it quick..and choose your words carefully.
He tips the mic to Kodeine who snatches it away.
Kodeine: You bastard! We had this entire company under our thumb. It was a wrestler’s dream…ratings were as high as they had ever been, the money was pouring in, and we did it our way. Then you turned your back on me, stabbed me in the back, and lost out on lots of money in the process, and you did it all for the brothas…
Level snatches the microphone back from Kodeine.
Level: For the brothas? You sound like Cat Fierce…. You think I ended your reign for the brothers? This is business, I don’t put shit over business, don’t do shit for the brothas, the homies, comrades, or whatever the hell niggers are calling themselves these days. Ratings were up…sure, people were tuning in to see you act a fool, you were going to turn AMBITION into wrestling’s version of the Rock of Love. Reality TV…and if you think that’s built to last you’ve got another thing coming. Then a lawsuit came our way, and you may have thought we accomplished something by getting rid of one thug in a suit, but trust me there would be more to come. You’re volatile Kodeine, not to be trusted and bad for business.
Kodeine snatches the microphone once more.
Kodeine: Bad for business? And you have a nerve to say I can’t be trusted. You turned on me, you judas. You want to issue challenges, well I’m challenging you. Forget the AMBITION title…it’s you versus me.
As Level snatches the microphone again, Kodeine catches him square in the jaw with a left hook and the two start to trade blows. AMBITION security rushes into the ring, but they have a very difficult time pulling the two men apart and they get back to trading blows again. As Level attempts to lariat Kodeine over the ropes, Kodeine ducks and slides under the bottom rope.
Level: Sucker punch me will ya? I’ll do more than stab you in the back next time Kodeine, I’ll rip your freaking heart out of your chest!
Backstage, Genichiro Eiji can be seen walking down the hall backstage with Mr. Watanbe, who is carrying his suitcase. Many of the AMBITION superstars including Hector Gotcha, Stan Vasic, Bobby Dynasty, The Canuckleheads, and Legendary Wings are all standing on opposite sides of the hall, clapping for Eiji and patting him on the back as he heads out into the parking lot to his car. As Eiji presses the button the keyfob the trunk pops open, so that Watanbe can slide the suitcase inside.
“Eiji-san”
Eiji’s associate and countryman Daisuke Shimura approaches, with his hand extended for a handshake. As the two men shake hands and embrace by patting each other on the back, Daisuke mutters something in Japanese before tossing Eiji head first into the side car window. His face meets glass which gives way to the force, and Daisuke doesn’t let up, he pulls Eiji’s head out and smashes him into another window. Mr. Watanabe attempts to pull Daisuke off of Eiji-san but to no avail. Daisuke nails Watanbe in the face with an elbow which sends him to the ground. Finally, several Ambition superstars race out into the parking lot to get their hands on Daisuke, but he hops in Eiji’s car and pulls off.
Back at ringside Stanilus and Grant are in disbelief.
Stanilus: Can you believe that? What is that all about?
Grant: In this business, best friends can become strangers at the drop of a hat.
Stanilus: This is true, let’s get to the next match of the evening, Athrin vs. “The Blues Man” Kyle Williams.
Grant: This is going to be one hard hitting slugfest, and the winner of this match becomes the number 1 contender for the Primetime Championship!
Athrin vs. Kyle WilliamsAfter the match, Hector Gotcha is backstage with AMBITION interviewer “Ice Cold” Ike Jones.
Jones: I’m here with the Aspiration Champion, Hector Gotcha! Now Hector, I’ve got to ask you, how are you feeling after hearing about Daisuke Shimura attacking Genichiro Eiji?
Gotcha: I’m shocked, confused, embarrassed, and ashamed. Somewhere along the line, wrestlers lost their morals, I don’t know why Daisuke attacked Eiji-san, but there’s no legitimate excuse, the man just retired, he’s a veteran that has meant a lot to this sport, and I for one was proud to have him in the AMBITION locker room. This isn’t the way for him to go out.
Jones: I have to agree with you there champ. Now I understand you have a big announcement to make so I’ll let you have the floor.
Hector Gotcha: July 3rd 2009 was the very first AMBITION show. On that show I captured the Aspiration Championship. I have held on for almost an entire year to date. Now I’m not saying that makes me the greatest wrestler of all time, but I can say that I’m proud of my accomplishment. I’m proud of one another person as well, on that same night, July 3rd 2009; Pwnstar captured the AMBITION championship from the interim and original AMBITION World Champion, Athrin. Two champions, nearly an entire year, with the same men holding onto the belts. I’m proud of myself, and I’m proud of Pwnstar, we’re going to go into the record books for this, unless I throw a wrench into things…I have an unparalleled drive, I know there are plenty of wrestlers in the world dreaming to do something, but I don’t dream long, I act. I have a goal to retire as one of the greats, and I’m working hard to make that happen. This is what AMBITION is all about, using your drive to make your dreams a reality. I want the AMBITION World Championship…and unlike Level’s promo from earlier tonight, my challenge has teeth. It’s a well known fact that the Aspiration Champion can challenge for the AMBITION World Championship by relinquishing his rights to the Aspiration Championship…so Pwnstar here it goes. I’m going to hand the title over to Jones to give to management, and I’ll see you at the Pay Per View.
Hector Gotcha hands title over and walks off camera, which zooms in on Ike Jones’ face, who is in disbelief.
Jones: This is big….very big.
Back at ringside Stanilus and Grant are taking in Gotcha’s announcement as well.
Stanilus: Can you believe this?! He’s essentially giving up his title to have the opportunity to capture the AMBITION World Championship?
Grant: That’s what true AMBITION is all about Stan…
Stanilus: That’s what being a fool is all about Stu. The Russian Superman, Sonny X is the only man that I’ve seen defeat Pwnstar in over a year. They had a rematch two weeks later and Pwnstar knocked Sonny X unconscious.
Grant (Singing): Ain’t that a kick in the head?!
Stanilus: Yes it was, a vicious one too!
Grant: I'm just singing Sonny X's theme song
Stanilus: Huh? What?
Grant: Nevermind....So you think Hector Gotcha should be afraid to challenge Pwnstar?
Stanilus: Afraid? No, Hector Gotcha is one hell of a wrestler, but I think it’s a bit….
Grant: ambitious? Damn right it is.
Stanilus: Okay you’ve made your point, let’s get to the next match of the night as “The New Classic” Stan Vasic challenges Acid Rain for the Primetime championship!
Stan Vasic vs. Acid RainAfter the match, The Playmaker is shown working out on a punching bag in the locker room when he is approached by DeMario Luster, who is dressed in a black dress shirt, silver bowtie, jeans, a pair of converse chuck taylors and a
LOT OF BLING.Luster: What is this, some kind of joke or something?
The Playmaker doesn’t acknowledge Luster’s presence, and continues to work out. Luster looks at one of his necklaces, which happens have a small mirror with a platinum frame attached to it. He takes the mirror and points it at himself.
Luster: This fool must have bumped his head, doesn’t he know who I am? I guess he’s afraid of me.
The Playmaker stops hitting the bag and holds it steady.
Playmaker: I know who you are, you’re a character, a clown, a dressed up buffoon that tries to carry himself like a wrestler. What I don’t know is what the hell are you doing here?
Luster: Wishing you bad luck, I can’t wait to see Kodeine bash your face in.
Playmaker: Thanks. Kodeine needs all the support he can get.
The action heads back to ringside to prepare for the second first round match in the AMBITION Tag Team tournament as AMBITION newcomers Kurenai are set to take on the veteran tag team of “The Heartbreaker” Kevin Valentine & “The Natural” Kevin Sanders aka God’s Gift.
Grant: So who do you have coming out with the victory in this one Stan?
Stanilus: God’s Gift, no question…the stable is one of the most decorated groups in wrestling history.
Grant: But luck hasn’t come their way in AMBITION. I think they are washed up.
Stanilus: Washed up?
Grant: Adrian Starr lost the primetime title to Cypha, Perfectshawn went on a sabbatical because he couldn’t win the World Title, Mike Norris is on a heck of a losing streak, and the Kevins….
Stanilus: Are going to turn this all around, starting tonight!
Kurenai vs. God’s GiftAfter the match, Pwnstar is walking backstage with both two championship belts, the first is easily recognizable as the AMBITION World Heavyweight Championship, the second is the IWW Alliance World Heavyweight Championship. Unaware of the seriousness of the challenge brought against him, Pwnstar approaches Hector Gotcha.
Pwnstar: My favorite NPC is now a miniboss? This game has quite an interesting storyline!
Gotcha: This ain’t no game, this is what I live for Pwn. I respect you and your abilities in the ring, I’d even like to think of you as a friend….but at Cruel Intentions there won’t be any friends. It’s me and you and that belt.
Pwnstar: Belt?! Fine by me, I have two! They don’t do a good job of holding your pants up though.
Gotcha: You need to start taking this seriously, because I mean business.
Back at ringside, Stanilus and Grant are excited about the main event.
Grant: There’s no title on the line, no shot at a title, no championship ramifications, but there’s still a lot at stake her Stan.
Stanilus: Pride
Grant: Prejudice
Stanilus: And there’s a lot of animosity between the two men. This is good old fashioned hate.
Grant: It started when The Playmaker won an opportunity to challenge for the Aspiration Championship at Alchemy.
Stanilus: But Kodeine stripped him of that opportunity and put himself in the title picture.
Grant: A lawsuit followed and so did a lot of turmoil. Eventually Kodeine lost his control over this company and he lost to Hector Gotcha at Alchemy.
Stanilus: But The Playmaker still wants some getback, and he wants it in a barbed wire deathmatch!
Grant: Let’s get it on!
Kodeine vs. The PlaymakerAfter the match, Kodeine celebrates his victory underneath the chorus of boos. But instead of the show fading to black, the action follows the cameras backstage as AMBITION owner Brian Stout is with backstage interviewer, “Ice Cold” Ike Jones.
Jones: Mr. Stout, it was a blockbuster announcement for Hector Gotcha to cash in the Aspiration Championship, and it’s my honor to hand this over to you.
Jones hands the title over to the company’s owner who holds it firmly in his hands while Jones holds the microphone up to his bosses mouth.
Stout: Blockbuster Announcement, to be followed by another one…with the ASPIRATION Championship vacant, I’m announcing a 12 man tournament for the title. The participants are:
“The Braun Bear” Klaus Keller
Kid Tyke
Cypha
Zachariah Zealot
Vinny Santangelo
Jeff Monroe
DeMario Luster
Bobby Dynasty
Bullshit
Adrian Starr
Scott Cramer
And…… Athrin!
