Alright, so I have the DVD they put out a few years ago with a couple of matches, and that was pretty decent, and I've been checking out videos on youtube, but a question for peoples here...
Is it really that good? lol. I mean, I enjoy some fun with my wrestling, and I'm kinda interested to pick up one of their other DVDs, I was just curious to what people thought about it (if anyone here has seen it.)
I'm thinking of getting one of the Cibernetico DVDs as it seems to be an interesting idea stacked with talent. Any comments would be appreciated.

it's a fun promotion with some out there characters and it's all about the match. It's very family friendly and it doesn't even really matter who wins the matches imo, it's all focussed on having a good time.
That being said I do like CHIKARA and thats exactly why they have a place on my real world save. Yet it's not for everyone, you gotta understand it's basically Osaka Pro in the USA.

it can be good, but i'm not a fan of some of the really small shows, the ones so small that they look like there in a grade schools classroom.

Thanks for the responses guys. I've liked what I've seen so far, and since I don't watch much WWE and TNA (I get some of the DVDs when they come out, but mostly the "best ofs" of wrestlers so I can catch the documentary too), it'd be nice to get into a smaller promotion.
I might have to check more of them out.

Figure I would update this thread, lol.
Alright, so I'm officially a fan. After watching through the mainstream 2007 "The Best of Chikara" DVD (with Los Ice Creams trading card!), I ordered the DVD "Cibernetico Increible" and absolutely loved it. I love the blend of comedy and lucha-style wrestling.
I've already ordered another dvd "Optimistic View of a Pessamistic World" that should be here tonight or tomorrow, along with the $5 sampler DVD off their website. I already can tell this is going to be influencing some edits I want to make. Before really knowing about it, I had an edit named Frightmare who's going to change to something else now that I know there is a Frightmare, lol.
And thanks to one of cuzinD's appearance packs, I've already modified a "Colony" homage I'm calling "The Nest": Insectico Insano, Insectico Fuego, and Insectico Evol. They should be ready for IWW here after a bit more work.
This is probably easily my favorite fed to have come along in quite some time.

I feel the same way. This is by far my favorite fed in a long time. On my real world save the CHIKARA guys get used probably more than any other fed.

Figure I'd update this with: I'm officially a mark for Chikara. I've now collected three more shows aside from the first two I ordered, and once payday hits on Friday, and their new shows from the last weekend are posted for sale, I'm going to be picking up even more. Does Smart Mark Video ever do sales? lol.
I guess it's bad when I can join the fed's message board and once I see shows being talked about, I think "Well, how much would it cost to get to Pennsylvania for these?" especially since I have a friend out in Pittsburgh who would meet me for the shows, lol.
