Not necessarily drawn to IWW proper, but just a question.
What is a good amount of titles for a promotion? In QCCW for instance, I have the pinnacle of singles being the Freeweight, then the TV Title. I have a tag title. But I've also noticed how frequently I have 6-man tag matches. I mean, I really do have four almost "set in stone" factions.
The Swarm
Mike Hooke, Ian Samuels, & Critical Condition
Justin Schultz, Tony Byron, & British Invasion
Johnny Lash & Rock Island Renegades
I've also noticed that I do have tendency to team certain people together alot who aren't necessarily a stable. So, I've played with the idea of introducing a 6-man tag team title.
The question is, for a small, regional fed based in Quad-Cities, with 40 wrestlers on the roster, would this be too much? I was even unsure about a TV title when I created it, but it gives an opportunity for title holders, good matches, and a new dynamic. If a 6-man tag title was introduced, could it clutter things or make for a bigger dynamic?
As I said, I probably average a 6-man tag match at least once per show, so it isn't necessarily a stretch then for the guys to fight for it. And guidelines, such as the tag champs couldn't find another guy to go out for it, or a current TV or Freeweight champion couldn't hold one of the belts, etc.
After the QCCW "Triumph of Threes!" was a success (I thought), this even furthered the idea, but I'd love to hear input from my brothers in arms. Would having a fourth title be too much for a small indy promotion? Would it work?
