CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING ASSOCIATION
<>The CWA promotion runs shows throughout the Indiana and Michigan area of the American Midwest, and ran shows throughout 2010 and 2011 before running into some financial difficulties in mid-2011, forcing the promotion to go into hiatus. The promotion was also plagued by the loss of their TV outlet, but in January 2012 were bought by the Quad-Cities Classical Wrestling promotion to become a developmental promotion for the company. It was also trying to attain IWW Membership as well as promotion operations resumed in February 2012.
TV Shows: "CWA Collision", a program that through the month of February ran as a 1-hour program on Tuesdays through Michigan and Indiana markets. Beginning in March, with CWA's inclusion to the IWW, it will move to a 2-hour program. QCCW has given CWA a “Showcase” match on each episode of its “QC Rush” TV shows, an hour-long program that airs on Sunday afternoons, usually showcasing QCCW talent against enhancement talent.
House Shows/Tours: CWA works to promote one house show every two weeks.
Titles:
CWA Title: The single title of the CWA and the one that is the front and center of many great matches, the CWA Title was last held by Weapon Hyabashi before the hiatus started. Due to the six month hiatus, a new tournament was held to crown a new champion.
CWA Tag Titles: The crown jewel of teams, the CWA Tag Titles were held by the Intruders before the hiatus. A small tournament was also held in order to fill this vacancy.
